Second Training for Members of the Coalition on the Project “Citizens for Inspection Reform” Organized
Second training for members of the Coalition on the project “Citizens for Inspection Reform” was organized in Vrnjačka Banja.
Within the framework of the project “Citizens for Inspection Reform” implemented by Center for Democracy Foundation in partnership with Foundation Dokukino, second workshop for civil society organization under the title “Reform of Inspection Oversight in Serbia”.
Objective of this training was to strengthen the project member organizations for better and more efficient communication with citizens by utilizing new communication tools and channels. Primarily, they were empowered by knowledge and skills on advocacy on the internet and using social networks for this purpose; more concretely – aiming to improve connections between citizens and inspection services and awareness raising on the importance of the inspection system reform.
Based upon theoretical knowledge participants acquired at the first training in Kraljevo, newly adopted skills and suggestions we attained from larger number of civil society organizations at the preparatory meetings in Belgrade, Niš and Novi Sad; we started developing ideas for mobile and web applications for better inspections. These ideas will be realized in the next month with the support of programmers and experts, and citizens will have the opportunity to support them by popular vote over internet, of which we will promptly report.
Participants at the training were representatives of six civil society organizations we actively cooperate within the project: Timok Club, Resource Center Majdanpek, European Movement Kraljevo, FORCA Požega, Artesa Kikinda, Together Together Belgrade.
