Nataša Vučković Elected to the EU–Serbia Joint Consultative Committee (JCC)

Contributing to Addressing Socio-Economic Challenges in Serbia’s EU Accession Process

Nataša Vučković, Secretary General of the Center for Democracy Foundation, has been elected as a member of the EU–Serbia Joint Consultative Committee (JCC), composed of representatives of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), civil society organizations, and social partners in the field of socio-economic development.

The Joint Consultative Committee promotes dialogue and cooperation between social partners and other civil society organizations in the EU and Serbia, covering all relevant aspects of relations between the EU and Serbia in the process of accession negotiations.

The JCC enables civil society organizations (CSOs) from Serbia and the EU to monitor Serbia’s progress towards membership in the European Union and to adopt recommendations addressed to the Government of Serbia and the institutions of the European Union.

The Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) is a body established within the framework of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between the European Union and Serbia.

The selection of representatives of the Republic of Serbia to the Joint Consultative Committee was conducted on the basis of a public call addressed to civil society organizations, issued by the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs.

The Center for Democracy Foundation expresses its gratitude to all civil society organizations that supported, through their vote, the election of Nataša Vučković to membership in the EU–Serbia Joint Consultative Committee. Engagement in the JCC provides additional opportunities to contribute to addressing socio-economic challenges in Serbia’s EU accession process, strengthening social dialogue, and promoting the social dimension of Serbia’s European integration.
