CDF representatives visiting AIIS during their European Academy in Tirana
“Regional Youth Dialogue for Europe - RYDE”
Dajana Ostojić, project coordinator, and Katarina Stojković, financial coordinator at the Center for Democracy Foundation, visited the RYDE sub-grant beneficiary from Tirana - the Albanian Institute for International Studies on 11 December 2024 during their European Academy taking place from 9-12 December 2024.
CDF supports their project called “European Academy: Fostering Peace and Integration through Youth Engagement“, aimed at increasing the capacities and the engagement of young people from Albania and Serbia in shaping policies and public narratives that bring their countries and the region closer to the European Union.
The project is being implemented in partnership with the European Movement Serbia, within the Youth Fund for Local Youth Initiatives, funded by the European Union as part of the “Regional Youth Dialogue for Europe” project.
European Academy as a four-day event gathers young people from Serbia and Albania to jointly discuss:
• The Growth Plan, Regional Market and EU Integration of the WB6
• Fostering Peace and Cooperation through Intercultural Dialogue
• European Green Deal and Green Agenda for the WB
• Challenges in Transatlantic Dialogue ahead of the upcoming Trump Administration
• Third Power Influence in our Region
Young Albanian and Serbian participants will visit the House of Leaves Museum together, and a joint Youth Peace Declaration will be issued.
During an informal meeting with AIIS’s Executive Director Ms. Alba Cella, information on programmatic, visibility and financial requirements was also exchanged.
