"More effective role of the public and civil society in monitoring and protecting workers’ rights"
The Centre for Democracy Foundation began in June of 2013 with the project entitled "More effective role of the public and civil society in monitoring and protecting workers’ rights"...
Throughout the numerous projects which we have implemented over the previous years, particularly through the "Black and White" campaign, the public has shown that the inclusion of civil society organisations is an absolute necessity and completely justified within the field of workers’ rights protection and restructuring within the sphere of labour. Due to this, several activities have focused on the inclusion of as many civil society organisations whose members and users will inevitably be confronted with issues both during the recruitment process and while under employment, and organisations which will be in a position to contribute to the improvement of these kinds of situations.
The Centre for Democracy Foundation began in June of 2013 with the project entitled "More effective role of the public and civil society in monitoring and protecting workers’ rights" which objective is to get civil society organisations (as legitimate participants) to participate more actively in the planning of public policies process, within the field of workers' rights protection.
We support organisations in local communities who wish to participate in the programme for the protection and supervision of workers’ rights, but also in economic and social rights in the broader sense. We encourage the public to express their preferences through our online portal and other social media sites. We are committed to improving the legal and institutional framework within this field, which will be discussed with relevant experts.
This project is a part of the Black and White campaign and is being implemented with the following partners: the Foundation for New Communications Dokukino, the Timok Club, the NGO Together, together and the Resource Centre Majdanpek.
The implementation of the project is financially supported by the USAID through the Institution for Sustainable Communities.
