Second National Policy Lab on Culture and Cultural Heritage Held
Regional Youth Dialogue for Europe – RYDE
The second National Policy Lab on Culture and Cultural Heritage was held on December 4, 2024 via Zoom platform. The debate gathered representatives from cultural institutions, a representative from the Ministry of Tourism and Youth, youth representatives, and independent experts in the field of culture to discuss the following topics:
• Strategic gaps in cultural and youth policies
• Advocacy for a cohesive national framework that integrates European cultural policies supporting youth inclusion
• Opportunities for studying cultural heritage in schools
• Limited access to cultural activities for youth from rural areas and marginalized groups
• Ways to use cultural heritage to raise environmental awareness and promote digital inclusion
The goals of the youth sessions on culture and cultural heritage, held at the national level, are:
- To improve the structural dialogue between youth and decision makers
- To jointly formulate recommendations to improve public policies relevant to youth in the field of culture and cultural heritage in the Republic of Serbia
- To strengthen youth engagement in cultural initiatives and activities
The Youth Policy Labs on Culture and Cultural Heritage is facilitated by Vesna Marjanovic, Secretary General of Europa Nostra Serbia.
Policy labs are carried out within the three-year project “Regional Youth Dialogue for Europe”, supported by the European Union.
