Vice President of the Center for Democracy Foundation, Vida Ognjenović, Elected as a Member of SANU

An interview with theater director, writer, and professor Vida Ognjenović for N1 TV

The Vice President of the Center for Democracy Foundation, theater director, writer, and professor Vida Ognjenović, has been elected as a corresponding member of SANU (Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts).

At the election assembly of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, 17 out of 55 candidates were elected as new full members, 22 as corresponding members, and five as foreign members of SANU.

“I am grateful to my colleagues who nominated me. It means a lot to me that someone has recognized that what I do has value, and this is a serious and great form of support”, Ognjenović told N1.

She noted that the role of any academy of sciences and arts in the world is highly significant but lamented that politicians do not consult experts, such as the Academy of Sciences and Arts.
