On 6 July 2021, the Executive Director of the Center for Democracy Foundation, Nataša Vučković, participated in the second meeting of the Special Working Group for Drafting the Proposed Gender Equality Strategy for the Period 2021 - 2030 and the Proposed Action Plan for the Application of the National Strategy (2021-2023).
At the meeting organised by the Minister for Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue, Gordana Čomić, the main elements on which to base the Strategy and how it will be implemented in future were presented. Participants in the discussion presented their proposals, including how to create conditions in which work on gender equality can be coordinated at all levels within the RS and how to connect this strategy to other planning documents.
The objective of the Strategy, currently being drafted, is to guide and ensure the implementation of the provisions of the recently adopted Law on Gender Equality. The adoption of the future Strategy and accompanying Action Plan is expected in 2021.
