Availability of Healthcare, Prevention and the Treatment of other Illnesses During the COVID-19 Era

The Center for Democracy Foundation and the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation organised the following Webinar entitled: Availability of Healthcare, Prevention and the Treatment of other Illnesses During the COVID-19 Era was held on 11 March 2021.

Topics of discussion included:

• Standards and the Quality of Serbia’s Healthcare System
• General Healthcare Under Pandemic Conditions
• Draft Plan for Optimising the Network of Healthcare Institutions in the Republic of Serbia
• Employment, the Employment Process and Work Conditions in Healthcare

Our panellists were: Dr. Simo Vuković, healthcare consultant, Prof. Dušan Milisavljević, PhD at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Niš, Prof. Dr. Snežana Simić, Public Health Expert, Sarita Bradaš, Researcher at the Center for Democracy Foundation. Panel moderator: Ljubica Gojgić, Journalist.

Webinar – SDG 3. and 8.: Availability of Healthcare, Prevention and the Treatment of other Illnesses During the COVID-19 Era was organised through the Sustainable Development for All Platform, supported by the Swiss and German governments, and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH through the Public Finance Reform - 2030 Agenda project. The Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, CEVES (Center for Advanced Economic Studies), Belgrade Open School, Center for Democracy Foundation, Timok Youth Center and the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence are all partners on this project.

The Sustainable Development for All Platform implies establishing social dialogue among the most influential non-government actors in Serbia, civil societies, for example, the corporate sector, academia and research communities, professional associations, the media and the public. The theme of such social dialogue is the harmonisation of Serbia’s developmental priorities with the goals contained in the Sustainable Development 2030 Agenda.
