International Workshop “Rule of Law and Fundamental Rights”

Two day workshop “Rule of Law and Fundamental Right – why they are important for the youth and how they can contribute to monitoring of reforms” was held in Mostar, on March 25-26, 2019. Over 20 young people from Western Balkans participated in the series of workshops on the topic European Union, European values, standards and principles that every candidate country should incorporate during the accession process.

The aim of this workshop was to empower youth for joining existing and creation of new thematic networks, which are focused on rule of law and fundamental rights, public administration reform, employment and social cohesion.

Discussion by participants on situation with fundamental rights and rule of law in their countries made a significant contribution for gaining a wider picture about situation in the Western Balkans.

International workshop “Rule of Law and Fundamental Rights” was implemented within the project “Regional Youth Compact for Europe” by the Local Democracy Agency Mostar, which is one of the partners on this project.

This project is financed by the European Union and Balkan Trust for Democracy (A Project of the German Marshal Fund).
