She earned both her BA and PhD degrees from the Department of Sociology at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy. She is a retired Full Professor from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Architecture and Faculty of Geography. The core focus of her professional work centers on diverse aspects and dimensions of social development within the fields of urban and spatial planning. Over the past decade, she has been actively engaged in preparing social impact assessments for major infrastructure, energy, and mining projects on local communities, as well as monitoring social impacts during the implementation of these projects. She is the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Serbian Spatial Planners Association (2017) and the Grand Prix of the 44th Salon of Architecture (2022), as one of eight co-authors of the publication Towards the Public Interest – The Scope of Urbanism.
She has been continuously active in the Center for Democracy Foundation since its establishment, with a particular focus on educational programs (Politeia, Perikles) and projects centered on citizens’ social rights. Her studies, reports, analyses, and commentaries addressing various aspects of social development and citizens’ social rights are available on the Foundation’s website.
