"Citizens for Inspection Reform" – Workshops Organized in 6 Towns
Workshops "Citizens for Inspection Reform – Steps Towards Improvement of Inspection System” were organized in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kraljevo, Knjaževac, Majdanpek and Požega.
In the past ten days in workshops "Citizens for Inspection Reform – Steps Towards Improvement of Inspection System" were organized in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kraljevo, Knjaževac, Majdanpek and Požega with representatives of inspections, local governments, media, business and civil sector.
At the workshops were presented up-to-date results of the project “Citizens for Inspection Reform” and forthcoming activities planned in March and April.
Our intention was to discuss with the most significant actors the challenges the new legislature is bringing, coordination and improvement of the oversight, awareness raising on the important role of inspections both for citizens and for commerce and state.
Events were hosted by member organizations of the project: Timok Club, Resource Center Majdanpek, European Movement Kraljevo, FORCA Požega, Artesa Kikinda, Together Together Belgrade.
This process’ objective is to develop recommendations based on conclusions from the workshops from different parts of Serbia, which will alongside concrete directions, contribute to the creation of positive climate for the new form of inspection system functioning. Final results and recommendations will be published and presented to decision makers and all interested parties, and will be available on our websites.
In January 2014, Center for Democracy Foundation has begun with implementation of the project titled “Citizens for Inspection Reform – Towards More Efficient Inspection System” financed by European Union within the Program for Civil Society Support in Republic of Serbia.
