Milena is a qualified organisational manager. Her professional background includes extensive experience in project management, event organisation, and promoting socially significant issues. This experience was gained through her work in a political party and the non-government sector in Serbia.
She has been an instructor in the Norwegian People’s Aid programmes: Women Can Do It I and II and Women in Focus. Since 2023, she has been an instructor for UN WOMEN as part of the programme: Political Empowerment and Leadership of Women.
Since 2020, Milena has been employed at the Centre for Democracy Foundation as a project coordinator, focusing on sustainable development goals, human rights, labour rights, anti-discrimination, and gender equality. She coordinates public debates, identifies key stakeholders, and prepares events that address topics important to the public.
She advocates for the enhancement of educational programmes, the integration of gender perspectives into public policies, and the strengthening of civic activism. Milena believes that citizen participation in socio-political processes and strong institutions are of critical importance for a democratic, solidaristic, and just society.
